S’mores Love Than Most AKA Smores
Smores is a 15 year old (Turning 16 this year) registered Piebald gelding standing 15.0hh. If you’re looking for a personable, loving, and fun gelding for any adventure, check out this handsome guy!
S’mores has only had 3 owners his entire life, his breeder, his previous owner who used him as a therapy horse for 12 years and myself who has done all types of stuff with him! I’ve decided to disperse my herd and take a break from the breed for a while. My ideal home for S’mores would be someone that understands the breed and looking for a dream horse to enjoy the arena and trails with, attend some clinics or group rides and spend countless hours bonding and grooming!
S’mores has done all the things and has plenty of exposure over the past 16 years of his life. He goes through water, over logs, obstacles, thick brush and anything you point him at. He’s been desensitized to tarps, flags, fireworks, smoke bombs and more! We have used him for lessons, riding him in parades and so much more. He is most definitely suitable for beginners and children as he was a great therapy horse for kiddos with disabilities, as well as on the trails in a group. I would recommend a confidence rider on the trails if riding alone, he is fantastic in a group but needs guidance when out alone.
S’mores is fantastic with livestock and LOVES cows! We’ve used him to move cattle and he loves every second of it. He will side pass to open and close gates! He would definitely enjoy the sorting atmosphere for someone wanting to dabble into that. He can even be pastured with the cows and mini donkeys! We even ride him through our flock of geese!
I love riding S’mores in the arena! He has a great handle! He WTC with ease and knows all of his transitions. He will transition down off of voice or seat commands and transitions up off of leg pressure or a click. He is not the type that you constantly have to kick, once he is loping he will stay until you ask him to stop. He has a smooth sitting trot and will also extends out! He collects great on the bridle and moves off leg pressure to pivot or side pass. He even has the cutest little stop! He has been ridden both English and western and looks adorable under both!
S’mores is great back in the barn! He is easy to catch, loads and unloads, stands for the farrier and so much more. He is great to groom, bathe and tack up. He is very clean in his stall and loves his shavings. He can be stalled or turned out with no problems. He has mainly been turned out with geldings as we don’t usually have mares. He is fine with time off, as we give him 3 months off this summer due to a small injury that lead to an abscess. Once cleared from the vet, we lopes him around our arena with a halter and lead rope with absolutely no problems. He’s always been a horse that’s on the back burner but we would pull out whenever he was needed and jump on with no hesitation.
S’mores is UTD on everything and ready for his new home. He comes with all his dental, vaccination and worming records. He will come with all his blankets, hair care products and more. He is a very easy keeper and does not require any type of diet or maintenance. We can help arrange shipping absolutely anywhere!
